چکیده
We consider a downlink two-hop MISO broadcast network with a 2-antenna source communicating to 2 singleantenna destinations, assisted by 2 single-antenna intermediate relays. We investigate spectrally efficient transmission schemes and their achieved sum degrees of freedom (DoF), with quantized delayed channel state information (CSI) feedback. Assuming Grassmannian vector quantization, we study two feedback scenarios according to the feedback range limit, namely global-range feedback, i.e., the source can receive the feedback signals from both the relays and the destinations, and one-hop-range feedback, i.e., each node can only attain the feedback information of its upcoming hop. We establish a sum DoF lower bound for each case. Our results reveal that when the quantization rate at relays BR = α1log2(SNR) and at destinations BD = α2log2(SNR) for min{α1, α2} ≥ 1, the optimal sum DoF 43 can be achieved with finite-rate delayed feedback.

Communication Schemes with Incremental Redundancy under Delayed Quantized Channel State Information
In many practical wireless systems, the Signal-toInterference-and-Noise Ratio (SINR) that is applicable to a certain transmission, referred to as Channel State Information (CSI), can only be learned after the transmission has taken place and is thereby outdated (delayed). For example, this occurs under intermittent interference. We devise the backward retransmission (BRQ) scheme, which uses the...
متن کاملImperfect Delayed CSIT can be as Useful as Perfect Delayed CSIT: DoF Analysis and Constructions for the BC
In the setting of the two-user broadcast channel, where a two-antenna transmitter communicates information to two single-antenna receivers, recent work by Maddah-Ali and Tse has shown that perfect knowledge of delayed channel state information at the transmitter (perfect delayed CSIT) can be useful, even in the absence of any knowledge of current CSIT. Similar benefits of perfect delayed CSIT w...
متن کاملOn the DoF Region of the K-user MISO Broadcast Channel with Hybrid CSIT
An outer bound for the degrees of freedom (DoF) region of the K-user multiple-input single-output (MISO) broadcast channel (BC) is developed under the hybrid channel state information at transmitter (CSIT) model, in which the transmitter has instantaneous CSIT of channels to a subset of the receivers and delayed CSIT of channels to the rest of the receivers. For the 3-user MISO BC, when the tra...
متن کاملToward the Performance vs. Feedback Tradeoff for the Two-User MISO Broadcast Channel
For the two-user MISO broadcast channel with imperfect and delayed channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT), the work explores the tradeoff between performance, and CSIT timeliness and quality. The work considers a broad setting where communication takes place in the presence of a random fading process, and in the presence of a feedback process that, at any point in time, provides CS...
متن کاملLinear Degrees of Freedom of the X-Channel with Delayed CSIT
We establish the degrees of freedom of the two-user X-channel with delayed channel knowledge at transmitters (i.e., delayed CSIT), assuming linear coding strategies at the transmitters. We derive a new upper bound and characterize the linear degrees of freedom of this network to be 65 . The converse builds upon our development of a general lemma that shows that, if two distributed transmitters ...
